The Analytics feature (previously Statistics) gives your legal team instant visibility into key indicators across your matters. With a customizable dashboard, you can measure efficiency, track trends and optimize workload distribution — and now shape every view to your own needs ⚡.
☝ What is Analytics?
Analytics gives you a real-time snapshot of your legal activity, helping you answer questions such as:
- ✅ How quickly do we close matters?
- ✅ What types of matters take most of our time?
- ✅ How long have open matters been running?
- ✅ How evenly is the workload spread across the team?
- ✅ How much are we spending, and where?
This helps your team identify bottlenecks, improve resource allocation and demonstrate value to business stakeholders. Every figure only reflects the matters you have access to.

⭐ Widgets you can build
Your dashboard is made of widgets. Alongside the ready-to-use standard widgets, you can create two types of custom widgets:
- Indicators — a single aggregated value, such as the total number of matters or the total spend.
- Charts / Timeline — breakdowns and trends, such as matters by type, spend by firm, or requests over time.
You build a custom widget by combining a calculation (Count, Sum or Evolution), an item (Matters, Requests, Spends, Provisions or Custom tables), an optional numeric field for sums, a group by, and filters.
✂️ Standard widgets
Three predefined widgets are available with built-in logic:
- Average time to close — the average duration between a matter's creation and closure, for a matter type you select.
- Time since creation — how long matters have been running, shown over time in 30-day periods.
- Workload distribution — the number of matters per assignee (user or team).
⚡ Faster with Lini
You don't have to configure everything by hand. Describe what you want to see in plain language and Lini builds the widget for you, using the same settings. You can then preview it, accept it, or switch to manual settings to fine-tune it.
✨ Export and share
- Download any widget as a .png image for your presentations.
- Export a widget's aggregated data to Excel.
For the full step-by-step guide to building widgets and using Lini, see "Matters – Custom Dashboards (Analytics)".
