Main Shareholders in Reports & Reporting UI Improvements

Modified on Mon, 24 Aug at 10:53 AM

DiliTrust Entities now automatically calculates and displays main shareholders across your key reporting views, and lets you include branch information in the reports you rely on for compliance and internal governance. This article explains what changed, how to use it, and what to keep in mind.

⭐ Introduction

Preparing regulatory or internal governance reports used to mean calculating ownership details by hand and finding workarounds whenever branch data was required. This update removes much of that manual effort.

With this improvement, DiliTrust Entities automatically calculates and shows the main shareholders of your entities and makes branch information available directly in your reports. This is especially valuable for large enterprises with Country-by-Country Reporting (CBCR) obligations, giving you a more complete and compliance-ready ownership picture without leaving the platform.

What's new:

  • Main shareholder calculation and display in scope, mandate, representative, and company-list views.
  • An option to include branches in scope reports.
  • Branches available as secondary content in mandate reports.

☝ Prerequisites / Getting Started

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

  • Access to the Entities module in DiliTrust with permission to generate reports.
  • Your entities' ownership (shareholding) data recorded in DiliTrust, so main shareholders can be calculated accurately.
  • Any branch information you want reflected in reports entered against the relevant entities.

The more complete and up to date your entity data is, the more accurate and useful your generated reports will be.

✍ Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to generate a report with main shareholders and, if needed, branch information:

  1. Open the Entities module.
  2. Go to the Reports section and choose the report you need: scope, mandate, representative, or company list.
  3. Select the entities you want to include in the report.
  4. If you are generating a scope report and want branch details included, enable the Include branches option.
  5. If you are generating a mandate report, add branches as secondary content when you want that information displayed alongside the main data.
  6. Generate the report. The main shareholders are calculated automatically and displayed in the relevant views.
  7. Review the results, then export or share the report as usual for your filing or internal review.

✨ Tips & Best Practices

  • Keep ownership data current. Main shareholders are calculated from the shareholding data in DiliTrust, so accurate records lead to accurate reports.
  • Use scope reports with branches for CBCR. Including branches gives you the fuller entity structure often needed for Country-by-Country Reporting.
  • Add branches as secondary content in mandate reports when reviewers need both mandate and branch context in a single view.
  • Review before filing. Automatic calculation reduces manual effort, but a quick review ensures the ownership picture matches your expectations.
  • Standardize your reporting views across teams so everyone works from the same complete ownership and entity structure.

⛔ Limitations & Known Constraints

  • Main shareholder calculations depend on the ownership data available in DiliTrust. Missing or outdated shareholding records may lead to incomplete results.
  • The include branches option is available for scope reports. In mandate reports, branches are available as secondary content rather than as a primary section.
  • Branch information reflects what has been recorded against your entities; branches not entered in DiliTrust will not appear.

❓ FAQ

How are main shareholders calculated?

They are calculated automatically from the shareholding (ownership) data recorded in DiliTrust and displayed in the scope, mandate, representative, and company-list views.

Which reports can include branch information?

You can include branches directly in scope reports using the dedicated option. In mandate reports, branches are available as secondary content.

Does this support Country-by-Country Reporting (CBCR)?

Yes. This improvement is designed to support CBCR reporting directly from DiliTrust by providing the ownership and branch data commonly required for regulatory filings.

Do I still need to calculate main shareholders manually?

No. The calculation that teams previously did by hand is now handled automatically within the relevant reporting views.

Why don't I see a shareholder or branch I expected?

Reports reflect the data recorded in DiliTrust. If something is missing, check that the ownership or branch information has been entered and is up to date for the relevant entity.
