How to delete / reactivate a user?

Modified on Mon, 29 Jan at 5:23 PM

If you have an administrative role on DiliTrustyou can delete a user at any time.

To learn more about the different roles on DiliTrust, see the dedicated article.

In this article, learn how to:

Deactivate a user

Before, deleting a user, if the role is being reallocated to another person, it may be preferable to transfer permanently their access and permissions to the new user before deleting them. Deleting the user before transferring their access and permissions will block any workflow in progress, for which the user was an approver or signatory. You will need to launch all concerned workflows again.

If the user had created alarms, the reminders will be sent to no one. The transfer assures that a user will receive the alarm notifications once the original recipient is deleted.

To learn more on how to transfer a user's access and permissions, see the dedicated article.

To delete a user:

  • Open your settings;
  • Click on the User tab;
  • Click on the box on the right
  • Click on the trash icon /helpdesk/attachments/7107430376

The user will be deleted.

For security reasons, the user is not deleted from the platform, but is deactivated.

Reactivate a user

Because the users are not deleted but deactivated, they can be reactivated:

  • From the homepage, click on settings;
  • Access the User tab;
  • Click on the Inactive users tab.

You then have two ways of reactivating a user:

  • Click on Reactivate on the right of the user's name, the user is then reactivated.

You can also

  • Double-click on a user
    • A pop-up window will appear, click on the Active button;
    • Before confirming the user's activation, you can modify its information;
    • To confirm, click on Modify.
