Shareholding – Why Ownership Percentages Appear Truncated

Modified on Wed, 4 Nov at 6:20 PM

Sometimes, ownership percentages in LEM look rounded or cut off. For example, you see 99.99% instead of 99.996%, or 0.00% for a very small stake. This happens because of the number of decimal places set for your workspace. You can change this setting to show more precise values.

✋ Who can do what

  • Administrators can change the number of decimal places shown for percentages.

⭐ Why percentages look truncated

  • LEM always calculates ownership percentages with full precision.
  • For readability, the display is limited to a set number of decimal places.
  • When a value has more decimals than allowed, it is truncated on screen. The calculation is not affected.

Examples:

  • Real value: 0.00001% → shown as 0.00% when the display allows 2 decimals.
  • Real value: 99.996% → may be shown as 99.99%.

✍ Show more decimal places

  1. Go to the Shareholding section of the company.
  2. Open Table options.
  3. Increase the number of decimal places for percentages. You can choose up to 10.

Result: the percentages in the shareholding view are shown with more precision.

⛔ Limitations

  • The maximum is 10 decimal places.
  • Truncation only changes the display. The calculations stay exact.
