How to validate / modify the type of my contracts?

Modified on Mon, 29 Jul at 6:55 PM

After importing a new document to DiliTrust, you are prompted to:

  • Fill in / validate the type of document in question (the nature of the contract or document).
This is what we will see in this article.
  • Complete the summary sheet. To learn more about the summary sheet, see the dedicated article.

In this article, we will see:

How do document types work on DiliTrust?

Each contract is defined according to its subject and the quality of the co-contracting parties.

For example, a building rental contract concluded between two individuals will be a civil lease contract, while the same contract concluded between two merchants will be a commercial lease contract.

DiliTrust translates this contractual classification into types of contracts, which allow the summary sheets to be personalized according to its type.

Thus, the summary sheet will be different depending on the type of contract. In a lease contract, we will find in the summary sheet information such as the rental area, which will not appear in a contract for the provision of services.

When importing any document, DiliTrust automatically suggests a type of contract.
For example, based on the information contained in the contract, DiliTrust will recognize if it is a commercial lease, a confidentiality agreement, or a contract for the provision of services, etc.

To learn more about how AI works on DiliTrust, see the dedicated article.

How to validate the type of contract suggested by the AI?

Once the document has been added to DiliTrust, open the document and in the summary sheet panel, validate or not the type of document suggested by the AI.

The type of document suggested is indicated in blue. In the example below, the AI suggests that this is a partnership contract.

  • If it is indeed this type of contract, click Yes. The information will be recorded, and the appropriate summary sheet will be displayed accordingly.
  • If this is the wrong type of contract, click No. You will then be prompted to change the type of contract, which we will see in the next section.

How to change the type of contract suggested by the AI?

To change the type of contract, you need:

  • Click on the name of the contract type at the top left of your screen.
If you have just indicated "No" to the suggestion, you will automatically go to this editing step.
  • Delete the suggested name.
  • Type the name of the type of contract you want to identify.
Suggestions will appear depending on what you type in the search bar.
  • Select the type of contract from the list displayed.

Consider looking for synonyms if you cannot find the type of document you want in the list.

How to create a new type of contract?

Did not find the type of contract you want to identify? Please inform your platform's administrators.

You are the platform's administrator and wish to create a new document type? It is possible from the label management tab in the settings and the back office. From there, you will be able to add a new document type to the list of those available.

⚠️ Before creating a new type of contract, make sure that it does not already exist, especially by looking for synonyms. It is indeed preferable to use a pre-existing model, because the AI knows these types of contracts and will be able to suggest them more easily.

For example, you want to identify a document as "NDA", search for "Confidentiality Agreement" and you will identify it in the list.

To create a new type of contract, form the label management tab:

  • Follow the previous steps above and access the contract type modification modal.
If no document type matches your search, access the label management tab
  • Click on Add a label

  • Enter a title for your new type of contract. You can add other languages to indicate the translation of the title of your document type.

When creating a new document type, the affiliated summary sheet reverts to the default format available on DiliTrust. If your summary sheets contain customized items (for example, contain the name of your Directions, Business Unit, etc.), you will not necessarily find them in your new sheet.
